This summer our budget was pretty tight so for "vacation" we stayed with Nick's family and did things around the Harbor and went on small day trips. For one of the trips we of course had to go to the zoo! Nick's mom, sister Amie, and brother Taylor met us at the zoo the first day of stay-cation. We had so much fun!
Nick's favorite animals at the zoo were the penguins. They were so cute, animated and funny the day we were there.
Makenna loved watching the penguin's swim up to the glass. She kept telling them "hi" and waving at them.
She got her face painted for the first time. Makenna did so good!

While we were in the food court we saw some of our friends from Ellensburg. It was so fun seeing them at the zoo! They even took this group picture for us.
We love the zoo and we can't wait to go back again!
